Wow! What an adventue. “Catching a saint” sounds like “being slain in the Spirit” in charismatic circles in US. I felt great sadness in reading about the living conditions and poverty in Rio. We have much to pray for in the world and much to be grateful for in this country.

I went with a small group to a “Favela” and I thought it was a fascinating experience! It’s not for everyone, but it was for me. The group would not explore further into the “Favela” and said it would be dangerous. What I saw was very interesting. My friend, Alice went to the beach that day.

We can exchange Favela stories when I get back, Karen. A dinner conversation!
