Fascinating how much we as humans have changed and how little we have changed. What an adventure to be able to observe customs and cultures so different yet with so many commonalities.

I am left wondering why the injustice of the first wife not feeding the 2nd wife went unnoticed and uncorrected? Was there no recourse for her?

      Darcy,

Since women’s business is women’s busines, the women in the community should have solved the problem because they live together constantly. You have to wonder also why the second wife did not stand up for herself or seek help or why none of the women in the community did not confront her or the first wife!
